They've defied the odds since childhood, living with disabilities that would have stopped others and using their friendship to accomplish something incredible.

Jia Haixia and Jia Wenqi are from Yeli, a small village in China.

The two men walk to work, a small piece of land they lease from the government, everyday. They carry their tools, ready to start another day of hard, but important work.

The reason they walk together like this?

Wenqi is a double amputee. He lost his arms as a child when he touched a high-voltage electric cable.

Despite losing his arms, Wenqi can still do some lifting, but relies on Haixia for Help
Haixia is blind. He was born with a cataract that damaged his left eye as a child, and in 2000 he lost his sight in his other eye during a work accident.

He relies on Wenqi to guide him, and in return, Haixia acts as his arms.
